Since its inception in 1992, a group of visionary business owners envisioned the idea to create a platform through which they can help and facilitate in promoting Indo-Canadian Business Community. As a result the Indo-Canadian Business Association (Surrey/Delta) came into existence as a registered society.
In 1997 ICBA started the scholarship program known as the Achievement Awards”. To date, the association has raised and distributed over $300,000 in scholarship funds. We are proud to acknowledge the association for raising $25,000 in less than an hour at one of our past events for the special needs category of the awards. The proceeds of this was awarded entirely to an a autistic child for his 2 year course at Kwantlen University.
ICBA started a charity “Golf Tournament” in 2001. Every year funds raised through these golf tournaments are donated to charitable organizations such as Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation and PICS. ICBA continues to dedicate its efforts to serve the community through its various events and create awareness among the business community.
Events such as family picnics, networking meetings and business tax planning seminars are but to name a few of the many other involvements that the association undertakes.
